This paper aims to provide some suggestions for the newly established Su cabinet and make preliminary predictions on future party politics. Premier Su is expected to identify his role as that of a capable CEO in the government to effectively lead and enforce good policies, particularly to make all efforts to establish his administration a clean and uncorrupt one. As for the party politics between the ruling party and the opposition parties, it is now more likely than before that the political tension will soon relax and both sides will be able to engage in policy dialogues. The reason behind this change is the conflict within the opposition camp, namely between the KMT and PFP, as well as the power struggle within the KMT itself, namely between Chairman Ma Ying-jeou and Speaker for the Legislative Yuan Wang Jin-pyng.
