軍事社會科學對於國人而言，雖然尚處於學步與相當陌生的階段，但卻是值得重視和提倡的學門，因為軍隊一方面與社會關係密切，軍隊組織是社會組織的部分，軍隊成員來自社會大眾，社會的價值體系和社會問題同樣反映於軍中。 無論創新擴散研究抑或過程理論研究之相關課題研究，都需要該事物已經在市場或組織中推行了一段時間之後再進行研究會比較適合，而目前軍事社會科學雖然從其建立至今已愈十載有餘，然軍事領域上採用軍事社會科學知識的比例嚴格說來並不算高，根據相關預測資料其擴散仍位於創新曲線的前半段，而其採用的層級亦非組織內部之推行，因此本文將援引創新擴散理論來探討軍事社會科學知識應用之策略，思維系絡將從創新擴散之傳統理論架構出發，側重於組織採用創新的決定因素，進而檢視目前軍事社會科學知識應用的實況，以及如何提昇創新擴散成效的策略。
