本文藉由文厭分析的方式了解從事規律性的瑜珈運動對於減輕現代人身心壓力的效用。瑜珈流派相當多,包含了哈達瑜珈、勝王瑜珈……等,多數研究所使用的瑜珈運動介入雖不同,但多屬於哈達瑜珈的內容,採行的運動介入處方大都爲接受平約約三個月、每週3次的現律性瑜珈運動,評估方式包括進行焦慮檢測表(ACL)、心情狀態量表(POMS)、焦慮狀態量表(STAI)與泰勒焦慮量表(TAS)等,針對焦慮與壓力症狀的不同量表及唾液中壓力荷爾蒙皮質醇的檢到,與控制組比較之後,發現受試者的焦慮與壓力症狀都有顯著減輕的效果,對淤唾液中皮質醇也有達顯著下降。綜觀多數的研究大都以哈達瑜珈進行規律運動介入課程,對於減輕焦慮與壓力的身心症狀如:頭痛症狀紓緩、背痛症狀減輕與壓力荷爾蒙的下降確實有其顯著效用。同時,也有部分研究針對瑜珈對於骨質疏鬆症、下背痛及藥物成癮等方面進行探討,建議未來對瑜珈的相關研究,可以針對瑜珈改善其他不同身心症狀效益,做進一步的探討。
