This paper intends to discuss the reading and the texts of the short stories & novels for young adults. In the first part, it briefly introduces the changes of media, the reading habits of young adults, the scopes and influences of the novels for young adults. And it continues to discuss the present publishing situations of the novels for young adults in Taiwan, and their influences as well. In the conclusion, it talks about the hidden difficulties of the developments of young adults’ novels and the importance of searching for the young readers.
