　　　　　本研究發現年齡、從業動機、家庭學校關係以及「不良少女」次文化經驗強烈影響受訪者在色情特種行業的生活風格與自我概念。受訪者和客戶的關係 -- 宛如一般男女朋友相處的情境以及情感被虐關係 -- 也深深影響受訪者的自我概念。凡擁有自認道德性動機和良好家庭關係的受訪者，尤其是成年人，有較正面的自我概念，雖自始至終強烈意識到自己的社會污名，卻仍以專業的態度從事色情工作，同時仍維持著「良家婦女」的生活方式。相反地，早被學校標籤是「壞女孩」的受訪者，進入特業為了追逐絢爛刺激的生活，一開始容易從其中得到成就感，往後隨著對社會污名的敏感度增加，負面的自我評價重新浮出。
