本文使用八十三年二月進行的「社會意向調查」資料，探討臺灣地區民眾的社會
福利態度，及其影響因素。三種社會福利態度: 傳統慈善、殘補式福利、制度式福利被用來
區分臺灣地區民眾對社會福利的態度傾向。三組解釋變項: 自利原則、啟蒙原則、政黨傾向
被用來分析臺灣地區民眾社會福利態度的影響因素。研究結果發現，臺灣人民普遍具有制度
式福利態度，也就是普遍接受社會權的社會意識形態。反過來說，不同意傳統慈善與殘補式
福利，也就走傳統施捨、行善，以及經濟個人主義的社會意識形態。而影響臺灣民眾的社會
福利態度是年齡、家中是否有慢性病人、教育水準，以及政黨傾向。前兩者屬於自利原則的
解釋變項，年齡越輕者越支持制度式福利態度，家中有慢性病人亦同。而高教育水準者也較
支持制度式福利，符合啟蒙原則的假設。支持民進黨者也較強烈支持制度式福利態度，符合
社會一般印象。

welfare in Taiwan are age, schooling age, chronic patient in family, and
political party identity.
