The paper aims at recording and analyzing the crisis in civil cultural space inherited in the rapid process of Taiwan's economic accumulation. Transformation and development of cultural capital of electronic-sound-and-light in Taiwan, and its connected impacts upon Taiwan's civil cultural life and spaces are explored. It is suggested that reclaim of civil cultural life and space is overwhelmingly dependent on social mobilization of place construction. The planning guidelines for the place construction project are also discussed in the final part of this paper.
