This paper discusses how Buddhist philosophy supported Stan Lai’s theatrical thinking, including his theatrical methodology, formation of artistic configurations, and the operation of creative ideas. In addition, this paper analyses how the various intellectual resources, including Buddhist philosophy, postmodernism, and intercultural mentality, mix and condense into Lai’s unique theatrical theory.
