地方廟宇的發展變遷是討論當代社會公共場域演進的必要議題。當代北京東岳廟的變遷歷程展現了「民俗博物館化」和「制度宗教化」兩條演化脈絡，再生的博物館與宗教組織分別在各自的話語體系中譯解著傳統，對空間進行重構。兩條脈絡在同一空間里的交流與合作、碰撞與沖突，既映射著社會發展模式的多種路向，也關聯著不同的科層治理結構和組織權責，體現了對「國家」的路徑依賴。從廟宇的演進歷程中，可以提供一個理解中國社會公共空間變遷與重組復雜機制的視角。

The development of local temples is a necessary issue in the discussion of the evolution of public field in contemporary society. The changes of Beijing Dongyue Temple embody two narratives of museumization and religionization. The re-borne museum and religious organization are separately interpreting the tradition and reconstructing the space in their narrative system. The communication and cooperation as well as the collision and conflict of the two threads in the same space not only reflect the different ways of social development, but also connect different top-to-bottom governance structures and organizational authority and responsibility, which embody path dependence on the state. The changes of temples can provide a perspective to the understanding of the complex changing and restructuring mechanism of Chinese social public space.
