　　　　　國家公園在北美創設以來，世界各地已陸續成立超過一千二百座，其中許多國家公園的土地曾是當地世襲已久的原住民的生活空間，但國家公園當局卻往往忽視當原地原住民應有的權益與受到因國家公園的設立而遭致的負面衝擊。美加兩國無論在國家公園的歷史、規模與管理上均佔重要地位，常為他國所效仿，但直到近二、三十年才開始考量當地原住民的權益並同意其參與設立和經營管理之事務。本研究欲藉著對美加兩國國家公園與原住民互動的過程與關係之比較而呈現其重要的元素與經驗，以供國內參考。比較的基準為早期發展過程、重要案例，法律制定、政策形成、組織運作、方案實施等六項因子。最後根據本研究結果並針對國內的情況提出建議，期能增進國家公園與原住民之良性互動，並提高國家公園管理的品質，使國家公園的效益得以發揮。
　　　　　Since the first national park was established in 1872, more than 1200 national parks have been set aside worldwide now and many of these areas have been created on lands traditionally used by aboriginal peoples. Unfortunately, these national parks generally practiced not only without regard the needs of aboriginal peoples, but also disrupted their traditional social and economic system and resulted in various conflicts. The negative situation also can be found in the early development of national parks of the United State and Canada. This study tried to compare the interaction of national parks and native peoples between the America and Canada in terms of development history, important cases, legislations, policies, organizations and strategies. The aim of this study was to provide the valuable experiences of Northern America for Taiwan as reference to improve the relationships of national parks and native peoples. In addition, some suggestion also proposed in this study.
