Mental health and counseling has been introduced in Taiwan for more than 20 years, the present study were conducted to review and to propose a workplace vocational mental health model that were appropriate to the current social environment. Researchers used focused interview groups to understand employees' problems and needs, and the service of mental health agencies was also surveyed. Researchers reviewed and compared the strength and weakness of internal counseling and external counseling. Some companies that had well established workplace mental health and counseling systems were interviewed. These practices were included to support the conceptual model of workplace mental health promotion system. There were several systems included in the model, such as helping professional support system, service deliver plan, internal and external counseling methods, information support system, and evaluation systems. These subsystems indicated the future directions for further development of the conceptual model of workplace mental health promotion system.
