郭店儒簡是界於孔之間重要儒者的學術著作其中對於人性的闡述是以生言性的自然人緎論，其帣涵是落在經驗層面上的血氣心知。這樣的「性」只是說明人類為四根源，其所以有各種行為的產生，則是在「心」，這樣的心具有可塑性，可以引發、誘導、砥礪和規範以成德。 孔子的理想是淑世，所以，不論是在施政方式要從生理想或是道德踐履，都是落在經驗層面上而論。而論。而儒簡這樣的心性論，在「歷史意義」和「本質意義」上，正是符合孔子儒學的精神，都是屬於一「實踐理性」。因此，在理論的「信度」與「效度」下，郭店儒簡在儒學上具有判準的價值。依此而論，在詮釋孟子的心性論時，所產生的「漢宋之爭」，即應可消解，因為儒簡所持正是自然的人性說。

Guo-dian-ru-jian (Confucian bamboo manufscripots of Guo-dian) were important Confucian academic works between Confucius and Mencius. The temperament theory of Ru-jian (an abbreviation of Guodian-ru-jian) accords with the Confucian spirit on “the historical significance” and “the essential meaning.” They all belong to a kind of “practical reason.” Hence, under “the reliability” and “the validity” of the theory, Guo-dian-ru-jian have the value of judging standard on Confucianism. Consequently, “the dispute of Han and Song” should be solved when interpreting Mencius’ temperament theory, because what Ru-jian stand for is the natural human nature theory.
