Most of conventional researchers studying Tso Chuan focus on subjects of politics, wars, pilgrimage, covenant, diplomatic language, and rhetoric. Very few researches were performed on recreation activities at that era in great detail before. This essay studies and classifies these recreation activities into three categories: entertainment, competition, and festival. As a result from the study, these recreation activities were found to be rich in content and much diversified in deed. However, due to the fact that emperor started to lose the control over his subordinates and kings from all countries fought with each other for the master position, the political situation became very tricky and complicated. As a consequence of this political turmoil, recreation activities originally targeted at improving metal and physical health, entertaining body and mind, were contaminated with implicit political struggling.
