癌因性疲憊是晚期癌症病人最常見的症狀之一，且對病人的生活品質影響甚鉅。導致癌因性疲憊的幾種原因包括：腫瘤本身、癌症治療的副作用、貧血、肌肉組織的代謝異常、細胞激素的失衡、內分泌疾患以及心理精神因素等。所有可逆性的原因必須被排除並被適當地治療。癌因性疲憊包括了藥物與非藥物的處置。本篇論文主要針對有臨床證據證實的藥物治療方式，包括類固醇，中樞神經興奮劑，以及黃耆萃取物，進行廣泛的文獻探討。

Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is one of the most prevalent symptoms in patients with advanced cancers. This symptom can adversely affect patient's quality of life. There are several factors that may cause cancer-related fatigue, including cancer itself, side effects of anti-cancer treatment, anemia, abnormal soft tissue metabolism, cytokines imbalance, endocrine disorders, and psychological issues. All reversible causes should be ruled out and treated appropriately. CRF can be treated with pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic measures. This article mainly focuses on the clinical evidence-based pharmacologic treatments, including corticosteroid, central nervous stimulants, and botanically-derived extract of Astragalus membranaceus.
