宗教信仰對末期病人常扮演重要角色。目前已有許多對健康有很好預測力的宗教量表，但大多數都以西方基督教與其信仰者為研究對象而發展，不一定適用於不同文化與社會背景的人。研究目的：發展適合多數台灣民眾信仰之佛、道與民間宗教信念的「宗教信念量表」。材料與方法：原始資料來自中央研究院台灣社會變遷基本調查第四期第五次問卷調查之電腦資料檔。研究方法主要以項目分析、探索性因素分析方法與多元線性迴歸等方法，找出有一致性的題項並萃取出共同因素。結果：本量表包含16個題項，及氣、靈魂、因緣債命與神力救助等四個因素構面。經效度與信度檢驗，證實本量表具有優良的建構效度，其解釋變異量為64.31％，同時也具有內部一致性（Cronbach α＝0.8879）；此外，也發現受訪者宗教信念強度之差異，主要在於是否有信仰，與信仰何種傳統宗教無關。結論：本量表對於佛、道與民間信仰的信仰者具良好的信度與效度，未來可再進一步施測於臨床，以瞭解它是否能成為可預測末期病人健康狀態的宗教信念量表。

A number of measurements have been developed for investigating relationships between religion and health, and have been used to assess religiousness in Judeo-Christian Caucasian-Americans. Yet, the cultural and religious appropriateness for Taiwanese of these measurements have been questioned. Purpose: To develop a measure of religious beliefs for Taiwanese with a religious background of Buddhism, Daoism, and Popular Religions. Material and Method: Item Analysis, Exploratory Factor Analysis, and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis of national data collected in the 2004 Taiwan Social Change Survey by Academia Sinica are conducted to (1) develop items, and (2) name the core dimensions. Results:(1) 16 items and 4 dimensions were found, (2) the measure showed good construct validity (explained variance 64.31％) and higher internal cohesiveness (Cronbach α＝0.8879). Conclusion: these findings suggest that the measure is reliable and valid for use among those who named a Taiwan traditional religion.
