Most researches on green building roofing focus on its effect in summer time and on solid material or plantation. This study designed roof ponds, with different lining fabric color and depths of water, to investigate the effect of roof pond on the temperature regulation in winter. Results from ANOVA showed that both color and depths (up to 30cm) were of no effect on temperature regulation in winter. There was no significant difference between ambient temperature and various designs, and between floor temperature and various designs. If the data were further grouped into fairy, cloudy and rainy days, significant differences were found in rainy days between ambient of floor temperatures and various designs. However, floor temperature could be estimated by ambient temperature (y = 1.7787x - 13.458, R^2 = 0.9919). Furthermore, the temperature regulation pattern in winter was found to be different from that of summer, as was cloudy and rainy days. These findings could help future studies of green roof.
