本文對李壬癸先生〈百年來的語言學〉中所記述的若干史事，略作解說，以為讀者之助。解說的史事，主要集中在1949年以前。解說的內容，大致包括中國現代語言學興起的背景、歷史分期、研究機構、領導人物等等。文中曾對引導中國語言學發展的主客觀因素進行檢討，並提出了個人的感想。

This paper provides a few thoughts concerning some historical events touched on in Professor Li's ＂Centennial History of Linguistics in R.O.C.＂. Most of the events took place before 1949, including the background of the dawning of modern Chinese linguistics, historical periodization, research institutes, leading scholars, and so on. It also examines the factors that have influenced and may continue to influence the developments of modern Chinese linguistics. It also presents the author's personal opinions.
