　　　　　當代資訊社會快速變遷，加上電腦科技與網際網路技術之蓬勃發展，不僅影響了 人類社會的各個層面，也對學校教育帶來莫大的衝擊。全球資訊網的出現更豐富了教學媒體 的風貌，並且擴大了媒體應用的多樣性與可行性。網路教學突破了許多傳統教學方式的限制， 無論在國內外都已蔚為一股新興的潮流，並且成為二十一世紀教學與學習環境之必然趨勢。 本文首先介紹網際網路的發展及其各應用層面，尤其在教育科技上的應用；其次探討構 成網路教學的要件與相關重要特質；然後討論教師們於網路教學之設計與應用等的考量要 點；同時提供國內外推動網路教學的實例與經驗；最後結論並提出建議，作為教育學者推動 與應用網路教學之參考。
　　　　　This paper first introduces the development of the Internet and its application in the field of education. It then explores the important features and components underlying web-based instruction. It also discusses the main issue that teachers should take into consideration while implementing web- based instruction. Moreover, it provides examples of some universities' experiences of implementing web-based instruction. Finally, it provides conclusions and implications for educators in applying web-based instruction.
