The paper is concerned about the reconstruction of state / society relationship after the practice of village election in China. The first chapter focus on the reformation of subjectivity of peasant. The third chapter use the concept of public power to analysis the social context and material condition of the reformation of subjectivity of peasant. The fourth chapter rewrite the state / society relationship after the practice of village election in Chins. By the concept of "public power", the paper explained how village election reorganized so many social forces after rural reform and created an "in-between" domain to relief the state / society relationship in China.
