文本分析為心理學研究提供了探索人類心靈的新途徑。早期,心理學家們通過對夢、口誤、心理投射測驗的內容進行心理分析,後來陸續有研究者發明了文本分析方法,但這些方法要么評定過於主觀,要么操作程序復雜。從20世紀80年代起,Pennebaker等人在研究情緒書寫的治療效果時發明了基於計算機軟件程序的文本分析工具——"語言探索與字詞計數"(簡稱LIWC),一種可以對文本內容的詞語類別(尤其是心理學類詞語)進行量化分析的軟件。經過二十多年的發展,由於LIWC的良好信效度,該工具被心理學研究者廣泛應用到各個方面。但是,有關LIWC的中文文本研究卻寥寥無幾。本文對LIWC的開發過程、中文版的修訂及其應用研究做了詳盡介紹,並對LIWC在中國的研究與應用提出了展望,以期為國內的文本分析研究提供參考。
