一般來說,運動員在從事運動訓練及競賽時,不管是男性或女性運動員一樣必須調整自己的訓練強度及體能狀況,希望能以最佳的身體狀況來完成訓練或競賽,然而女性運動員除了上述的困素外,對於月經週期是否會影響自身的生理情形及運動表現,也要有所認識;近年來一些研究報告指出,某些疾病的根源,來自於體內大量自由基,所造成的氧化壓力。所以,本文試著偵氧化壓力的觀點,去探討女性運動員在月經週期時的運動表現,期望能從中窺知一二,提供國內教練或選手做為訓練時的參考。
