高科技產業有著高報償與高風險兩項重要的特質，技術的來源與資本的密集亦是不可或缺的兩項因素，如何控制風險與提升經營績效，將是該產業所必須面對的問題。因此，本研究嘗試將高科技產業所面臨之風險因素及其績效相關之文獻進行回顧與彙整，進而探討高科技產業在營運過程中可能將面臨之風險因素與構面，同時也再與績效構面進行深入的分析與探討。結果發現採用「早期採用型」風險態度的廠商，在研發績效會優於風險態度採「落後模仿型」及「晚期追隨型」廠商；採用「早期採用型」風險態度的廠商，在公司經營績效會優於風險態度採「晚期追隨型」及「落後模仿型」廠商；研發績效為「低績效群」的廠商，在公司經營績效會著重於「生產績效」之追求；而研發績效為「高績效群」的廠商，在公司經營績效會著重於「整體績效」之追求。
Technology resources and intensive capital are two crucial factors for high technology industry that inhering high compensation and risk characteristics. The industry has to face the problem how to controlling risk and improving business performance. This research is trying to find the risk and performance factors by literature reviewing, and to explore the relationships between those factors. By the results, this research find that the early adopters of technology get more advantages in R&D and corporation performance than that of the late imitators and the late followers. At the same time, the lower corporation performance firms like to focus on production performance, in contrast to the higher corporation performance firms who like to emphasize general performance of business.
