台灣地區人口結構早在1993年邁入聯合國所訂定之『高齡化』之標準,本研究最主要的目的是在探討台灣地區銀髮族旅遊市場與傳統旅遊市場的差異性,根據這些差異性探索銀髮族旅遊消費行為,以因應台灣地區人口結構日趨『高齡化』後的廣大旅遊市場需求。提供旅行業者依據銀髮族『旅遊消費型態』之差異而提供適宜的旅遊產品,以增加銀髮族『旅遊滿意度』。本研究首先確認銀髮族之『旅遊動機』與『旅遊消費型態』。並運用Ridit法,了解銀髮族在尋求『旅遊參考資訊』的來源為何;並試圖尋找出銀髮族在選擇『旅遊地點考量因素』。並運用因素分析探索銀髮族之『出國旅遊障礙』為『旅遊者』本身、『旅遊直接供應者』能力與『旅遊間接鼓勵者』積極與否等三項;最後,如何提昇銀髮族『旅遊滿意程度』;包括:『旅遊行程內容的安排』與『旅遊體驗過程中服務人員』兩大構面。根據研究發現,建議旅行業者應運用行銷的技術與策略來滿足銀髮族的旅遊需求,並提供旅行業者在面對加入WTO及開放大陸旅遊市場後更急劇變化的國際競爭環境下經營策略之參考。
