This study aims to explore the senior learners' vacation lifestyles and travel motivations through surveying. By reviewing literatures and considering research purposes and interviewees' characteristics, the researcher edited "Questionnaire for the Senior Learners' Vacation Lifestyles & Travel Motivations" as the instrument. Senior Learners from Kaohsiung Institute on Aging and Senior Colleges were treated as population, and by means of purposive sampling, 414 copies of questionnaire in total were distributed. Then, the researcher retrieved them on the spot; at last, the number of valid copies reached 391(approximately 90.90%). And then, the researcher used statistical software SPSS 12.0 to analyze the data. Main results and findings are that tendency toward "family" dimension of vacation lifestyles is the highest, and travel motivation for "health & relaxation" is the strongest. In addition, interviewees of different demographic characteristics show differences on the cognition of vacation lifestyles and travel motivations.
