The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between local culture, school and community. We will take on empirical study on Anping culture and primary school in Anping District. And, we attempt to explore (1) cu1tural discontinuity between school education and local cu1ture, and (2) disfunction among school and community organizations from viewpoints of "cu1tural discontinuity" concepts asserted by George Spindler and John Ogbu. The main findings are as fol1ows: 1. There are cultural discontinuities between primary school education and Anping local cu1ture in present. And, the diffusion and emanation of Anping cu1ture based on primary school education wil1 be strengthened in future 2. There are significant cultural discontinuities between primary school education and community organizations (for example, temples) in present. There are not any negotiation mechanisms and communication networks between them. And, the diffusion and emanation of Anping culture based on community organizations are very inadequate. 3. We provide "Anping culture, primary school and community interactions model" in this study.
