This study examines the current situation and future development for senior citizens’ employment in Taiwan by literature review and meta analysis. In general, this study concludes that it is more likely that more and more senior citizens have the willingness and demand for employment in Taiwan in the near future. However, there are not clear employment policy, legislation, and measures for senior citizens yet. Therefore, the author suggests amending Senior Citizens’ Welfare Act and Employment Service Act, and encouraging enterprises to institute flexible working-hour system by reward or tax deduction to increase the working opportunity and protect the employment rights for senior citizens.
