本文從一種特殊的捲雲狀文面圖樣，探討先秦時期內亞高加索種早期游牧民與華夏民族的早期接觸問題。本文發現：在陝西扶風所出土的西周高加索種造型蚌雕臉上的捲雲狀文面圖案，同時也在南俄、烏拉山區、中亞大夏地區、新疆、南西伯利亞以及中國北方的考古遺物上出現，說明此種文面圖樣或與內亞早期游牧民有關。而在臉上施以捲雲文面的習俗，更可能是一種早期印歐人的傳統。從陝西出土高加索種造型蚌雕一事可以得知，至遲在西周時期，華夏民族與來自內陸歐亞的高加索種系民族已發生某種程度之接觸與交往，可視為是騎馬游牧文化東漸的一個側面。而先秦中國與印歐人的早期接觸，其實不一定是來自新疆地區，從南西伯利亞與西部蒙古南下的高加索種早期游牧民，可能才是華夏民族最先接觸到的白種人。
