學生學習成效（student learning outcomes）儼然成為教育部看待我國高等教育的準則，從教學卓越計畫、高等教育評鑑，到技職體系大學的典範學校等，無一不以學習成效為依歸。此篇文章首在援引美國高等教育評鑑之精神、名詞解析，進而探討我國建制學習成效評估，在各系所運作過程中常見的疑慮與挑戰；透過案例研究，為各項挑戰與兩難提出一個新的思考方向，以求解套與制度的生根落實。文末，則又回歸高等教育評鑑之精神，提供各校執行成效評估在策略規劃上的可行之道，也為未來的評鑑方向提供政策上的建議。
