Teacher education is the process of providing teachers and potential teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach effectively in a classroom environment. Within this process, clarifying negative and ideal teacher images is essential for the professional development of teachers to improve their ability to teach, and to facilitate the achievement of their students. This article tries to analyze negative images of what teachers look like, and propose ideal images for teachers to find out images of teaching as a way of understanding their practice and explicitly seek a link between image and practice.
