This paper presents a case study of the restoration of the ancestral homes of the Seediq people, based on the mapping conducted by Chijiiwa Suketaro in 1938. The aim of this research was to establish a consensus regarding the restoration of traditional tribal culture. Drawing on the traditional knowledge and memories of elderly tribe members, we employed a participatory design for the development of a traditional village settlement and culture recognized by the Seediq people. We sought to discover the subjectivity and symbolic representation of the Seediq people through the simulation of traditional construction methods and building rituals as well as the recreation of village ethics and traditional ceremonies. This study provides a reference model for cultural conversion focusing on traditional building techniques, detailing artistic expression and spatial thinking.
