題名:以學校為主的增進身體活動計畫對於認知功能與學業成就之影響

背景:許多研究中發現,兒童期與青春期階段的身體活動、心肺適能、身體脂肪與認知功能之間存在著某種關聯性,同時也指出這些變數與學業成就有關。增加身體活動的計畫提供了一個可行的方法,用以改善體適能、身體質量指數(BMI)、認知功能,並且最後可以改善學業成就。方法:描述考驗身體活動、體適能、身體脂肪、認知功能與學業成就之關係研究。呈現大規模、縱貫性還有叢集隨機試驗,用以檢驗增進身體活動的計畫在身體質量指數以及學業成就上的影響。結果:研究數據支持身體活動、認知功能與學業成就之間的關聯。教室活動所扮演的角色也由透過課程的身體活動計畫PAAC及SPARK所支持。與相對於控制組以1%的下降程度,中等強度的身體活動之學科課程以6%的成長改善了整體在標準學業成就測驗的表現(P<.01)。每週參與超過75分鐘PAAC課程的學生(三年後增加1.8 BMI)與每週參與小於75分鐘PAAC課程的學生(三年後增加2.4 BMI)相比,經過3年後,身體質量指數增加的幅度較小(P<.001)。結論:在未來的研究中檢驗有身體活動的學業指導之效果是需要的。有更高強度的身體活動之學業課程所帶來的影響可能可以在身體質量指數與學業成就上提供更多的益處。
