In traditional interior design teaching, the problem often encountered by beginners in learning is that
they do not know the real spatial scale relationship represented by the scaled down 2D sketch surface
or model. The reason is that they lack the experience and knowledge to directly face the 1:1 spatial
scale, and cannot experience and perceive the spatial feeling presented by the drawn design through
drawing the space reduction drawing. In order to solve this problem, traditional teaching tends to
require students to spend a lot of time making large-scale models or drawings to express the sense of
space of the design, and such a design operation method must go through a long period of training and
trial and error. Only gradually can the perception training of spatial scale be obtained through 2D
drawings and models. Therefore, this research implemented an interactive design system. This system
can be imported into VR application in the preliminary sketch design stage to assist in teaching. This
system uses the game engine to design APP, which can directly convert 2D drawings into 3D and enter
the VR environment experience and modify the furnishings and materials of the internal space. It can
also generate QR code, converted into 3D through interactive table recognition. In this study, through
the T-test analysis of the experimental questionnaire, the system has obtained consistent recognition of
the learning effect of the design assistance, especially for novices than experienced hands. This result is
in line with the expected purpose of the system implementation, helping design novice students to
shorten the learning time and effectively construct the perception of spatial scale.
