     加入WTO對臺灣之衝擊及其因應措施之研究實是當前臺灣各界所最關切之課題,本 文特從區域競爭力提升之觀點切入,探討區域經濟之興起,面臨之挑戰,地區行銷之作法, 並發展出其相關之問卷,以了解南部公務員對「地方發展」之看法,期提出結論與建議,以 有助於高雄地區在臺灣加入WTO後之區域競爭力。
     For Taiwan people, one of the most urgent issue for now must be thw study on the impact towards Taiwan by joining WTO and how to cope with that influence. In this paper, we based on the perspective of upgrading the regional competitive- ness, explored the emergence of regional economy, the challenges of regional development and the strategies of region marketing; we also developed related questionnaires to understand how the officer working in South Taiwan think about "regional development". Our purpose is to provide with some conclusion and suggestions which can benefit Kaohsiung's regional competitiveness after Taiwan entry into WTO.
