What was the progress since 2011? This paper not only reviews ancient China’s brilliant ideas about reading therapy from four famous intellectuals who began to receive attention in the field of Chinese library science,but also introduces several typical cases in real life. In addition,four new theories on reading therapy of several experts at home and abroad are remarked on,and then it is in retrospect the progress of research and the practice of reading therapy from six aspects: project, monograph, essay, academic conference, excellent practice,and social influence.
