     本研究之目的在探討英國小學科技教育國定課程標準、教材、教法、評量等之實施現況、特色、問題與未來發展趨勢。透過文獻探討、國內專家座談、資源人士協助、與實地訪問參觀英國約克郡小學科技教育實施情形,最後筆者提出結論與建議,期能供我國教育主管機關未來發展九年一貫科技教育課程時之參考。歸納英國科技教育具有以下十點特色與啟示: 1.課程具有連貫性及全國標準化的成就目標與學習方案。 2.重視設計能力與問題解決的科技活動過程。 3.科技課程學習活動結構化,並有能力層級檢試制度。 4.重視形成性和總結性的評量。 5.教科書選用自由化,且教材設計與教學時數彈性化。 6.教育部已公佈國小科技教育參考方案,並陸續著手國中與高中科技教育教學參考方案之擬定,這將有助全國各級教師之參考。 7.資訊與環境保護課程逐漸被重視,並建議應用在科技教育教學上。 8.教學媒材應用多樣化,學生學習興趣高。 9.著重設計與資料搜尋過程,並經常使用模型與其它多樣化的媒體來輔助教學。 10.各級學校科技教育課程學生約在25人以下,且相當注重各項操作安全事宜。 另外,筆者也歸納提出我國未來九年一貫小學科教育可採行的十二項具體建議供教育主管單位參考。
      The purpose of this study is to investigate among the history, status, and future trend of technology education in England. Methods of literature review, experts meeting, survey of primary teachers, and scholars' interview were employed to collect the information. Firstly, the current school system, qualification examination, and National Curriculum were described. Secondly, the aims, teaching contents, teaching activities, assessment, and questionnaire survey regarding primary technology education were explored. Finally, the characteristics, progress, and tendency of primary technology education were analyzed in England. The author also offered some conclusions and recommendations to Taiwan's educational authorities regarding the 9-year integrated curriculum of technology education in the near future.
