     本文針對《流離島影》系列紀錄片中的四部離島紀錄片:郭珍弟:蘭嶼《清文不在家》,許綺鷰:綠島《我的綠島》、周美玲、烏坵《輻射將至》、簡偉斯:馬祖《馬祖舞影》,探討晚近臺灣新興的影像創作媒體──紀錄片一一所呈的隱藏、曖昧、想條、邊緣、災難、創傷、具爭議性的在地空間。文分四路進行:從全球與在地的互聯關係去重新戡定「在地」的意涵;從記錄片的沿革史去探討「真實」與「再現」在記錄片拍攝過程中的可能變貌;從地理像理論的發展理解《流離島影》記錄片作者特殊的方影像美學;最後進貨個別作品去進行討論。杵文認為,這些影片從女性、族裔等地者觀點出發,以一種介入而不干預的姿態,以攝影機去催生、成全「在地」空間的社會構成,使隱匿的空間得以現身,將被拋擲於現代性時間軌跡之外的地方,藉著現代化的影像科技的推手,重新安置在一備足以與當代時間接軌對話的共時定點,而在安置的同時,又將其移出於霸權空間配置的知識權力系統之外。
