International economic law is playing a greater role in main-stream educational system, in particular following such crucial events as the end of cold war, the collapse of communist regime in Eastern Europe, and the accession of Taiwan and China to the WTO. This paper examines the following core questions relating to education in international economic law: What is the concept and background of international economic law? What should be the aims of teaching and research in international economic law? What is the significance and limitation of international economic law education in Taiwan? How can theoretical approaches be combined with teaching and research in international economic law? How should international economic law relate to the broader debate over globalization and global law? What is the future of international economic law? What kinds of policy reform are needed in Taiwan to improve international economic law education in face of increasing regulatory competition in the 21(superscript st) century.
