Since 1 July 2007, the soldiers’ five fundamental beliefs--three principles of the people, leader, country, duty, and honor--have been adjusted to the three fundamental beliefs-- country, duty, and honor, after the deliberate research and studies from the Department of National Defense, to realize the spirits and institutions of the constitution. In fact, the adjustment has been a long debating process for decades, and has reached the final goal. It is not against the original implications of the five fundamental beliefs, and it accords with the soldiers’ core values in the democratic countries of the free world, all the more, it realizes the longstanding position of the Armed Forces in submitting itself to the constitution and the nationalization. It should be continually noted the fundamental beliefs of the American soldiers in the present time while processing the adjustment. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the core values education in the three US Military Academies-the Military Academy, Naval Academy, and Air Forces Academy, for referencing and modeling in the enforcement of our core value education.
