本研究試圖採用Esteem for Teens Program來幫助某中途學校的不幸少女改善其自尊及憂鬱狀況，研究採用準實驗法之前測──後測不等組設計，以中途學校50名不幸少女為研究對象，實驗組接受六次，共計十八小時的自尊訓練方案，控制組則無。 綜合研究發現如下： 一、「Esteem for Teens Program」對不幸少女在自尊方面，有顯著性立即及持續輔導效果；亦即「Esteem for Teens Program」有助於不幸少女在自尊方面的提升。 二、「Esteem for Teens Program」對不幸少女在憂鬱方面，有顯著性立即及持續輔導效果；亦即「Esteem for Teens Program」有助於降低不幸少女的憂鬱情緒。
The purpose of this study was to apply “Esteem for Teens Program” (ETP) to help teen prostitutes in correction school to promote their self-esteem and overcome their depression. The research was quasi-experimental study, and pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design was adopted. The subjects were a total 50 of students in correction school. According to the original class arrangement, the experiment group was assigned 23 subjects and control group was assigned 27 subjects. The research conclusions were: After ETP training, no matter posttest or after six weeks test, 1.The rising of students’ self-esteem scores in experiment group were statistically significant. 2.The descent of students’ depression scores in experiment group were statistically significant.
