The purpose of the study is to explore how 2 middle-grade teachers implementing character curriculum in their classrooms. The study employs collaborative action research approach and lasts one year. Participants include 2 middle-grade teachers and their classes with 34 students in total. Data is collected from group discussions, interviews, logbooks and other relevant documents, and analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study are following: 1.Teachers can use picture books to design practical character education curriculum. 2.The main problem of designing character curriculum is teacher’s insufficient professional knowledge of character education. It is solved after teachers attend a collaborative action team and reflect their practice constantly.
