"Nian-Ge" is an art of chantable story-telling expressed by Southern Fujian language, and has been published a large quantity of singing volumes which was named as "kua-a-chheh". Among them, "The Song of Emperor Shun's Ploughing the Field and Ascending the Throne" was deeply loved by the public and widely spreaded in the society. Its diffusive chanting of "Emperor Shun's Story" not only had been inherited from the forerunner's creation, but also had been innovated in accordance with the local and contemporary culture and customs. Besides inguiring about the situation of its publication, this thesis, from the contents、the figures、the plots and its ideological alternations, further investigates the evolving phenomena and its narrative characteristics of "Emperor Shun's Story" in the "Song of Emperor Shun's Ploughing the Field and Ascending the Throne" amidst all "kua-a-chheh".
