The principal objective of archival description is the creation of access tools that assist users in finding desired archives. In order to keep the consistency in archival description, the related descriptive rules, such as ICA's rule-ISAD(G ), America's rule-DACS, Canada's rule-RAD, England's rule-MAD, and so on. That made archivists can follow above standards while they were processing the archival arrangement and description. This paper investigates the archival description in Taiwan's repositories, and further compares ISAD(G) with the four main repositories. In conclusion, three advices were proposed for drawing up the consistent archival descriptive standards in Taiwan archival repositories.
