從相關文獻與近年的國際插畫專輯中可以發現，插畫市場呈現多樣化且作品樣式更多元，插畫家的作品包含了利用傳統媒材的插畫或是數位電腦的插畫，但更多的是利用傳統媒材與電腦輔助完成的插畫作品，而這些作品多呈現出如利用傳統媒材創作出來的樣式。為什麼這些世界性的插畫專輯作品中會呈現出大量使用傳統媒材與電腦輔助創作的作品，這是值得我們教育下一代插畫家所應該思考的問題。因此，本研究定義這些結合傳統與電腦的插畫技法為整合性插畫技法，以質，性研究方法，針對10位應用這些插畫技法的插畫家進行訪談，從資料分析中發現，因為台灣插畫市場規模狹小，稿費偏低的情況下，當出版社所需的稿件為傳統繪畫質感作品，則專業插畫家會運用整合性插畫技法創作，其主要原因為製作插畫成本考量、交稿時間壓力與利用網路縮短交稿時間的快速性。研究中彙整的七個主要常用整合性插畫技法，最常被時使用的描畫技法多為應用到電腦的便利與快速性，如手繪線稿加上電腦上色、手繪插畫原稿加上電腦特效與拼貼技法，其中拼貼技法最為整合性插畫家所善用。

It can be understood from the references and international contemporary illustration, the illustration market nowadays seems vitality in which the styles are more diversity. The illustrators' works are either using traditional media or created by the computer, and many more created by the integration of traditional and digital techniques. Why have most of those international illustrations been created by the integration drawing techniques? This issue may need to be considered when educating the young illustrators. The study defines those integration of traditional techniques into the computer to create an illustration as the combination of digital and traditional drawing techniques. The study therefor interview 10 professional illustrators who employ the combination of digital and traditional drawing techniques. The data analysis found that due to the illustration market in Taiwan is small and low of commission fee; the illustrators would like to apply the combination of traditional and digital drawing techniques if a commission asked for an illustration drawn as by traditional media. The main reasons are due to the concern of drawing cost, time pressure by submission dateline, and shorten the time of submission via the Internet. The study produces the seven main combination drawing techniques, which most commonly used are applied to a computer with fast and convenient. For instant , hand-drawn line work and colored on a computer, hand-drawn illustration and rendered special effects on a computer, and collage in which the collage is most adored technique by the illustrators who applying the combination techniques.
