本研究首先研究2007年至2011年間，台灣130個育成中心的4,503家廠商的經營特徵，然後利用Coxproportional hazard模型，分析影響新創廠商存活的因素。資料發現育成中心的存在的確有益於延長廠商的存活時間，且有母公司支持的新創公司存活率較高。實證結果顯示廠商經營越久、雇工人數越多和留在育成中心時間越長，都可顯著地提高廠商的存活率。此外，新創廠商的市場經驗和經營型態亦是影響廠商存活的重要因素之一。最後，實證發現在製造業中，女性負責人的新創廠商，其存活率顯著高過男性負責人的廠商。對於屬服務業的新創廠商，其負責人教育程度越高，企業存活越久。

This study attempts to analyze the survival of 4,503 tenants in 130 of Taiwan's incubators and to identify the determinants affecting their risk of failure from 2007 to 2011 by the Cox proportional hazard model. The data reveal that incubators can effectively nurture their tenants to increasing their survival. The empirical results show that a firm's age, the number of its employees and the length of the incubation contract have a significantly positive impact on the survival rate while start-up tenants have also a higher survival rate. In addition, the tenant's market experience, the length of the incubation and the start-up business are key determinants for increasing the tenant's survival in the incubators. Finally, firms with female tenant-owners in the Manufacturing industry sector and firms whose owners have a higher educational level in the Services industry sector have a higher survival rate.
