With the evolution of modern science and technology, more and more chemical materials and methods are discovered for the conservation of ancient architectures in order to solidify ancient buildings and its structural elements. The basic rule of this conservational work is to do the maintenance without large-scale taking apart in order to maintain the original style and looks. After the 921 Earthquake, National Museum of History organized a response team to assist in saving important artifacts. This paper will describe some chemicals and methods for the conservation of wooden artifacts after natural disaster. It will cover conservational procedures of cleaning, strengthening, and fixing wooden artifacts in order to increase their durability and to enable future utilization.
