Under the context of new digital learning, the generation of internet celebrities can freely display personalized ideas and transfer web information. Internet Celebrities are not only website viewers, but also content producers by “broadcast self”. Moreover, connotation of digitalized methods of teaching and learning that have been totally changed. By the slogan of “everyone can be Internet Celebrity”, the content of learning must pay attention to facilitate learners’ trans-competences; the focus of learning has to focus on developing students’ ability of effective problem solving; the arrangement of learning should be based on nonlinear approach and adopt differentiating strategies. The purposes of this article are as follow: first, helping readers understand the meaning of “we media” and its impact on education. Secondly, inquiring the digital cultural industry and illustrating the critical reflection of “digital detachment” from perspective of the American educator Chet Bowers. Finally, remarking that “being an internet celebrity” is not undoubted, and turning to revitalize “common-culture-based learning” , that can provide a more balanced and more holistic view of meaningful “self-directed learning”, this turning is important for future schooling.
