     本研究之目的在實証探討國內公私立大學學生滿意度之現況,採二段分層隨機抽樣法,對象為國內公私立大學共38所學校的在學生,區分為六類,由各類大學中先抽一所大學,再由各抽出的大學中以學系為對象,採分層隨機抽樣,抽出五個學系,最後將問卷平分至該學系各年級為分層因素。問卷採美國Noel-Levitz 發展的Student Satisfaction Inventory,主要問項共七十題﹐分為十二個向度。 由於本研究是國內首度將Student Satisfaction Inventory應用於大學機構的實証研究,希望藉此研究能描述及解釋現況,了解實際學生滿意度,因而掌握事實,對提高工作效率,提升服務品質定有實質效果。
      The purpose of this study is to empirically examine student satisfaction with their educational experience in universities in Taiwan. Six out of a total of 38 public and private universities in Taiwan were selected for this study. Students in these six universities were selected to receive the questionnaire through a two-stage stratified random sampling. Data for this study was collected using a survey questionnaire—Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI), published by Noel-Levitz. The 70-plus items of the Student Satisfaction Inventory measure how important various areas are to students, while assessing their satisfaction with 12 scales. This study is the first that attempts to apply SSI in Taiwanese colleges to assess student satisfaction. The results show what modifications might be needed. An important purpose is to encourage legislative policy debate about the quality problem in order to raise the consciousness of educational planners and administrators to be more aware of the situation of student satisfaction in Taiwan.
