本文將以四個論題探討之：首先，紹述顏山農的學思歷程，因多數思想史均略過其學思歷程，若能引薦，更能貼近其思脈；其次，探究其所主「自然與樂生」與「制欲非體仁」之論？再則，提出學者對其心性問題的疑難而深究；最後，析論其心性觀的困境。冀能以此文稍稍補足前之缺憾，並帶出其思想的獨特性與歧異之處，以公允的立場觀之，以觸發顏山農的心性中疑辨之處。

　　　　　This paper proceeds along four topics. First, we would summarize about the development of Yen Shan-non’s thought and doctrine. While most history of thought ignored his doctrine, we can get closer to the context of his thought if we could make a recommendation. Second, we explore his claims, “nature generates happiness,” and “the suppression of desire is not to achieve ren.” Third, we bring out and investigate Yen's doubts about the question of mind-nature. Finally, we analyze the predicament of his theory about mind-nature. With all this, we wish to fill in the missing part as well as show what's unique and different about his thought, in order to subject it to fair judgment and trigger doubts about Yen Shan-non’s mind-nature.
