  身心障礙者「生涯發展」、「轉銜服務」、「轉銜評量」以及「個人中心規劃」等轉銜理論與實務的議題,向來均受到相當大的關切與重視。尤其在轉銜評量方面,就美國而言,已經是每一位身心障礙學生在進行各階段生涯轉銜時,所必須採取的步驟與作法。就我國而言,隨著民國八十六年迄今之一系列有關轉銜法規之訂定,顯見身心障礙者各生涯發展階段之轉銜福利已受重視,而完整之生涯轉銜體系亦在我國正式地建立。不過我圖在推動身心障礙者轉銜服務的過程中,似乎對於身心障礙者生涯轉銜發展與生涯輔導的理論,以及轉銜評量之相關實務作法方面,較少涉及與探討。因此,本文謹就身心障礙者轉銜評量的觀點,探討美國轉銜評量之發展歷史、基本特色與本質、轉銜評量之作法、測量工具以及注意事項等,以供改善發展我國身心障礙者社會福利與特殊教育之參考。
