This paper is drawn from an action research for a required course community social work in a university. For the solution of some existing instructional problems and for helping comprehension about what community social work is, the researcher/ teacher designed an innovative instructional program and practiced it as an action research. This paper reviewed the program practiced and concludes that the program’s effect appears manifest in the comparison between the pre and past surveys of the students. A plenty of discussions about the instructional design, the process to practice and the suggestion and implication for the future application in related teaching have been introduced and analyzed.
